Semaglutide Injections

How does Semaglutide help patients lose weight?

Semaglutide is an FDA-approved injectable medication that has been approved for weight loss.  It acts like the hormone that affects the appetite area of the brain.  With a smaller appetite, weight loss patients eat less and lose weight.  Including Semaglutide in a non-surgical weight loss plan can result in:

Decreased blood pressure, blood sugar and inflammation

Smaller weight and waist size

Reduced food cravings

Improved ability to control eating

Reduced appetite

What can I do to make my weight-loss journey with Semaglutide even more successful?

With every surgical and non-surgical weight loss program offered at Heartland Weight Loss Clinic, patients are reminded that they will have a higher chance of success when pairing their plan with a sound nutrition and exercise program.  Our dietician and health coach can help devise a meal plan that will make the effects of Semaglutide even more beneficial.  We can also create a realistic exercise routine to help take your weight loss efforts even farther.  We can discuss these additional services during an in-office consultation.

How is Semaglutide administered?

Semaglutide is a once-weekly subcutaneous injection administered in the abdominal area like insulin.  Since the shots are not injected into the muscle, the needle is very small keeping injection site pain to a minimum.  It works continuously between injections to reduce a patient’s appetite and doesn’t require them to remember to take a daily medication.
